It tells the story of how the town was planned by architects committed to providing better quality of housing, not just for the well-off but for the humble workers who flocked here as well. The many images within this book are drawn from The Garden City Collection, the town’s archive and resource centre. It is part of Letchworth Garden City Heritage Foundation, the body which still owns and manages the Letchworth estate in the manner in which Howard originally envisioned over a hundred years ago.
